Music Composer Ajay-Atul Signs Indian Idol 11 Contestant For New Song
Musicians Ajay-Atul recently appeared as guests in the reality singing show Indian Idol 11. The duo was so impressed by one of the contestants- Jannabi Das, that they signed her for their next project
The Indian music director-composer duo brothers Ajay-Atul who appeared as guests in Indian Idol 11, signed Jannabi Das, one of the best contestants for a song in the future. In their presence, the Indian Idol 11 contestants displayed their singing talents and from among them all, the music alias duo was mesmerised with Jannabi’s performance.
Jannabi performed Mere Naam Chin Chin Chu, which was originally sung by Geeta Dutt in the 1958, for the movie Howrah Bridge. She was able to enthrall Ajay-Atul with her voice and they were so impressed that they immediately signed her for a new song. However, the duo didn’t give any detail of the project in which Jannabi would be singing but promised that she will be singing under their direction in the near future.
The music composer Ajay-Atul made their debut on the 2015 Forbes India Celebrity 100 List securing the 82nd position. They have also earned fame as the first Indian music director to record their music for the Marathi movie Sairat at Sony scoring studios in Hollywood. The Government conferred them with the Best Music Direction award at the 56th National Film Awards. Starting their careers with commercial jingles, ballets and advertisements, the duo now has many hit songs under their names. Sairat, PK, Agnipath, Singham are some of their best works till date. Ajay-Atul will be directing music for upcoming movies like Taanaji, Shamshera, Jhund, Panipat and Sardar Udham Singh.
